The Power Of Praise and Worship

 

Music that worships God is so powerful because it is confessing our praise, desires, and joy to and about our Father. God says that we have the power of life and death in our words.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof // Proverbs 18:21

We tend to do more confessing with our mouths while in song. The bible says that we can put into motion a Godly thing with just our words. With our words, combined with others in agreeance, we have the promise of assurance and God's authority when done righteously.

Music:  It's an unearthly channel of communication consisting of giving and recieving. Surround yourself in it. When you have no idea what to say or how to say it, put on a song of praise. With music, we literally create the atmosphere to welcome God's presence. I've had some amazing experiences while in worship more so than in any other situation and I feel it's because of these promises given to us:


But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel [God inhabits/dwells in the praises of His people] // Psalms 22:3

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them [People singing together professing God with their mouths] // Matthew 18:20

Have you ever felt a peace and love that just completely overwhelms you while you're simply worshipping God? Have you ever felt that God was in the midst...literally in the middle of the place that you're in? If you have, you can be assured that in the above atmosphere that God was surely there with you and ministering to your heart.

I've been soo excited about the Christian music industry the past few years. There is something so significantly different with current artists than in the past (that I've experienced) There is a literal annointing on so many of them that I'm just in absolute awe of how God is working through it. I think the biggest thing is that we are finally grasping what it means to have an intimate relationship with God. We are experiencing a bond that is causing us to speak such powerful things. God is doing some amazing things one on one with us through the music and into our lives.
